GLGBA Rendezvous Committees

We can always use your help to make the GLGBA Rendezvous events a success!  Whether you would like to take on the leadership role or simply lend a hand, there’s a place for you on the team. Below are some of the key areas where volunteers are needed:

Overseer (Trailboss) – 
Helps keep our planning on track, on budget, and on schedule. Works closely with the team and provides monthly updates at Board Meetings.  Also coordinates event communications, including Facebook posts, website content, and newsletters.

Swag Coordinator -
Organizes the fun extras that make our Rendezvous special! This includes ordering burgees and nametags, assembling gift bags with local information and goodies, and coordinating photography for attendees.

Facilities & Registration Coordinator -
Handles marina reservations and ensures a smooth arrival for our members. Oversees registration, nametag distribution, and the setup of our burgee collection at the event.

Activities Coordinator -
Plans the meals, entertainment, and presentations that bring us together. This includes working with caterers, scheduling entertainment, arranging meeting spaces, and organizing transportation as needed.

Flotilla Captain (Optional) -
For those who love being on the water—this role coordinates a Sunday night flotilla, complete with optional activities like a campfire or cookout.

Each role is important, but you don’t have to do it alone.  We work as a team and support each other through every step of the event. If you’re interested in volunteering, please reach out and let us know how you’d like to be involved.  Together, we can create an unforgettable Rendezvous!
