The Great Lakes Grand Banks Association is a non-profit organization having the following goals:

The purpose shall be to engage in any lawful activities authorized by Chapter 181 of the Wisconsin Statutes. Furthermore, this organization creates the opportunity for pleasure, recreational boating, and other non-profit purposes, substantially all of the activities of which are for such purposes and no part of the net earnings of which insure to the benefit of any member.

To create opportunities for social interaction among owners, potential owners, and other individuals having an appreciation for boats bearing the Grand Banks name.
To foster safe, enjoyable, and knowledgeable boating.
To promote environmentally responsible boating.
To provide a means for communication between members for discussion related to recreational boating.
To promote pride of ownership in the Grand Banks brand.

These goals are to be pursued through events, forums, and publications such as rendezvous, newsletters, mail and email communications, social activities, websites, and other activities endorsed by the members.

About our Dues

Annual dues are $50.00 per year and renewable in December. The process is done through our website and announcements are sent out when the renewal process opens. The fee includes membership for yourself, the Primary Member, and a Secondary Member, a spouse or partner. The second individual needs to sign up under the primaries account. Each member is allowed to vote on matters such as the Giving Back program and participate surveys that are taken from time to time. Voting is tracked using email addresses. If two people share the same email address, then only one vote is allowed. For each person to have a vote, they must have separate emails on record.

Please note that people who sign up as members to the organization after June 1st of any year are automatically enrolled for the next year at no additional charge. New members will also receive the GLGBA Burgee at no charge.

GLGBA DEMOGRAPHICS

Our members hail from all corners of the Great Lakes and beyond. Some of our members have moved to coastal areas but maintain their GLGBA memberships to stay in touch with fresh water cruising. Most of our members own Grand Banks, but we have a few members with other lovely cruising yachts. Some of our members are temporarily "between boats".
